Dullness: this can be in the form of dark circles, tiredness or just general dullness in skin tone.  Purple and pink will brighten skin and neutralize any sallowness in your skin.

Check out these great products for brightening skin and combatting dullness!

  1. Urban Decay NAKED Skin Color Correcting Fluid – ‘Lavender – Balances Sallowness’ ($35, Sephora Exclusive).  This corrector is in liquid, rather than cream form and is also formulated with vitamins C and E to nourish your skin.  It blends differently because it is a liquid, but can also provide more sheer coverage.  It also features pearl pigments to help add additional brightness.

  2. Smashbox Color Correcting Stick – ‘Don’t Be Dull – lavender ($27, Sephora Exclusive).  This is my favorite for targeting dullness!  It goes on really smooth and blends easily.  It balances really nice with a variety of skin tones and adds subtle brightness where needed.

  3. CoverFX Correct Click – ‘Lavender’ ($24, Sephora).  This stick is really creamy and helps to correct dulness in your skin.  It is a deeper lavender than other formulas which is great for an extra boost if you need it.

  4. MAC Prep + Prime CC Colour Correcting Powder Compact – ‘Illuminate’ ($25, Nordstrom).  This lightweight, smooth powder adheres to skin instantly and helps to really brighten overall sallow looking skin.

  5. Marc Jacobs Beauty Cover(t) Stick Color Corrector – ‘Color 310: Bright Now’ ($52, Sephora Exclusive). This pink and lilac stick is really smooth and easy to apply.  It really helps to combat dullness and brighten up your face!

  2. Benefit Cosmetics ‘Eye Bright’ ($20, Benefit Cosmetics).  This was created as an eye-brightening concealer, but I like it for brightening other parts of your face, too!  Check out ‘Bright Eyes’ for how to use this great brightener.

  3. Benefit Cosmetics ‘Ooh La Lift’ ($22, Benefit Cosmetics).  This liquid is not only brightening, but it also helps to fight puffiness and darkness under eyes with natural raspberry extracts.  Its light-reflecting pigments really help to perk up tired looking eyes.
