Dark Spots & Circles: this can be darkness under your eyes (deep blues) or even dark spots from blemishes, etc..  This is the color concern that is combatted with different shades based on your skin tone, rather than just one color to combat specific discolorations.

Colors: Peach: used on lighter to medium skin tones, Orange: used on tan to dark skin tones, Red: used on deep skin tones

Here are solutions to target dark spots and circles:

  1. Urban Decay NAKED Skin Color Correcting Fluid – ‘Peach – masks circles/spots’ ($28, Sephora Exclusive).  This corrector is in liquid, rather than cream form and is also formulated with vitamins C and E to nourish your skin.  It blends differently because it is a liquid, but can also provide more sheer coverage.

  2. Smashbox Color Correcting Stick – ‘Look Less Tired – (light) Peach’ ($27, Sephora Exclusive).  This is my favorite for targeting dark under eye circles! (for light to medium skin tones).  It goes on really smooth and blends easily and definitely neutralizes any blueness.

  3. CoverFX Correct Click – ‘Peach’ ($24, Sephora).  This stick is really creamy and helps to correct dark spots on your skin.  I find the larger stick a bit harder to get into the corners of eyes, so use a blending brush for better coverage with this one.

  4. MAC Prep + Prime CC Colour Correcting Powder Compact – ‘Adjust’ ($25, Nordstrom).  This lightweight, smooth powder is a light peach tone that helps to brighten and bright warmth to skin.  This is a great overall brightening powder for evening dark tones.

  5. Smashbox Photo Finish ‘Blend’ Color Correcting Foundation Primer ($39, Nordstrom).   This is my favorite line of foundation primers!  This one helps to even out skintone and brighten the appearance of dark spots.  It can also be worn in lieu of foundation.

  6. Bobbi Brown Retouching Powder – ‘Peach’ ($38, Nordstrom).  This natural mineral powder helps to neutralize dullness, but also cover fine lines, dark spots and brighten skin overall.  This also helps to make skin appear smoother!

  1. Marc Jacobs Beauty Cover(t) Stick Color Corrector – ‘Color 320: Getting Warmer’ ($52, Sephora Exclusive). This peach and caramel stick is really smooth and easy to apply.  It’s great for concealing dark spots and adding some warmth to your skin.

  2. CoverFX Correct Click – ‘Orange’ ($24, Sephora).  This stick is really creamy and helps to correct dark spots on your skin (tan to dark skin tones).  Same as above, I find the larger stick a bit harder to get into the corners of eyes, so use a blending brush for better coverage with this one.

  3. MAC Prep + Prime CC Colour Correcting Powder Compact – ‘Recharge’ ($25, Nordstrom).  This lightweight, smooth powder adheres to skin instantly and is great to combat deep blue and purple shadows on your face.

  4. Smashbox Color Correcting Stick – ‘Look Less Tired – (dark) Orange’ ($27, Sephora Exclusive).  This is my favorite for targeting dark under eye circles! (for darker skin tones).  It goes on really smooth and blends easily and definitely neutralizes any blueness.
