Men are hard to shop for at the best of times and Valentine’s Day is just that much trickier. Not all couples celebrate the day with gifts where others go over the top. I find that the best way to tackle shopping for the men in my life is to think logically and practically. Men seem to prefer practical gifts – and they really appreciate practical items that they weren’t necessarily about to splurge on for themselves.

#2: Ted Baker London Watch ($230, Nordstrom). A great timepiece is always an appreciated gift! Have the back engraved with a special message to personalize it!
#3: Tile – Bluetooth Tracker ($40, IndigoChapters). Bluetooth makes everything better, right? This handy tracker can be attached to all sorts of belongings so you don’t have to search for them!
#4: Perfect Pocket Square ($26, Nordstrom). These pocket squares come in more colors than I can count and they’re already perfectly folded, so all he has to do is tuck it into his jacket pocket!
#5: thisworks Deep Sleep Pillow Spray ($34, Sephora). This sleep spray is amazing – and it’s not something he would think to buy for himself, but will definitely appreciate!
#6: Single Malt Scotch Toothpicks ($9, Sugarfina). How fun are these?
#7: Dad Husband Legend Mug ($14, IndigoChapters). Mugs with cute sayings are an inexpensive and thoughtful gift – and it’s something he can use every day!
#8: Ice Moulds ($14, IndigoChapters). I have a bunch of these but in individual form! Having a whole tray to make at once is much, much easier! These are the perfect gift for the whiskey drinker on your list.
