There’s something special about a gift that was made locally. Calgary has so many wonderful local businesses that I thought I’d highlight a few of my faves to help you #shoplocal this holiday season! Be sure to scroll down to the bottom so you don’t miss any of my recommendations!

Bracelets + Handmade JewelryOne of my favorite local jewelry designers is Ekaterina Ulovich and her brand ULOV Jewelry! Her pieces are made with natural stones and are stunning from season to season. I absolutely love these hematite stretch bracelets – perfect with jeans or for a holiday party! Be sure to check out her seasonal bracelets with pine cone charm beads, too!

Wood Letter BoardI love a good letter board, and sure we’ve all had the felt and plastic ones, but these stunners from Euris Home are made of oak and walnut wood. I love the richness of the walnut (it matches my Instagram feed oh so nicely!) and I’m definitely going to pick up an oak board for cutesy messages in my wine cellar! How fitting for a wine lover…

Favorite Sweater: It’s no secret that I live in my Local Laundry sweaters. This one here is my absolute favorite (it comes in a lighter shade, too) because it features a subtle maple leaf design on the back, too! Shop them for the whole family!

Gorgeous Candle = Perfect Hostess GiftI find it hard to find natural candles that smell delicious…and then I found Milk Jar. Holly’s candles are made right here in Calgary and all ingredients are safe for your home! This candle, a partnership with Local Laundry called “Sweater Weather” smells like Canada – a mix of buttery maple goodness! My other faves include “Suede” and “Holly”…but trust me, they’re all delicious!
One more note: Candle jars are re-used – they have a return program!

Hometown Cookbooks: Food is definitely a way that we can all connect, so why not gift one or both of these lovely hardcover cookbooks? Calgary Cooks features recipes from some of Calgary’s favorite chefs and restaurants. Make your favorite menu dishes from Calgary-favorite Earls with Earls: The Cookbook!
P.S. Other Canadian cities have these lovely books, too!

Not shown above, but also awesome…

Oak & Tonic is Canadian Natural Skincare! I’m sure you’re used to my push for “clean beauty” lately, so I was really excited to come across this shop in Calgary with a commitment to this, as well as to carrying Canadian made brands. Favorites include Lavami and Graydon.

Looking to shop local in Calgary without having to run around to a ton of places? Why not stop at ReWorks! It’s central, there’s a coffee bar and they carry so many incredible gifts – all made in Canada! (you can also shop ReWorks online, too, if you’re looking for awesome stuff but don’t want to leave the house!) What you’ll find: handmade jewelry, unique beer glasses, bags, tshirts and bike rentals!

You’re sure to find a gift for everyone on your list and their up-cycled items from Canadian artists will make you feel good about your purchase, too! Tell my girl Solita I sent ya!

Looking for an extra unique gift? Ask about their bike tours! Each of these tours comes with a map, site admission to some really cool historic spots in Calgary, snacks and discounts. Plus you can rent a bike at ReWorks and head out from there on your own tour!
