I’ve been thinking about this post for a while.

If you’ve been following Styled to Sparkle for any length of time, you’ve probably noticed that things have felt a little different lately. I haven’t been posting as consistently, I haven’t always kept up with the latest trends, and if I’m being completely honest, I’ve struggled to find my rhythm with it all; and I think I’ve finally figured out why.

Styled to Sparkle started as a hobby. It was a creative little corner of the internet where I could share things I loved – interiors, decorating, family life, travel and all of the pretty little details that made me happy. I never really knew where it would go, but over time, it grew into something I never expected.

It became a community.

It became a place where I connected with people over so many different parts of life. We talked about decorating and renovations, motherhood and family, travel, entrepreneurship, the highs and lows of building something of our own and everything in between. What started as a hobby became a meaningful part of my life, and I will always be grateful for that, but life has changed quite a bit since those early days.

My kids are getting older. Our family is in a different season. I’ve taken on new opportunities and responsibilities, including starting Apex Optics and becoming much more immersed in building a business and a brand. My days look different, my priorities have shifted, and the amount of time I have to create just isn’t what it used to be.

For a while, I felt like I was constantly trying to catch up.

Catch up with trends, catch up with Instagram, catch up with what everyone else was doing. Figure out what was performing, what I should be sharing, what I needed to create next and how to make it all fit into a life that was already pretty full, and somewhere along the way, creating content started to feel less like a creative outlet and more like another thing on my to-do list.

That was never what I wanted Styled to Sparkle to be.

One of the things I have always been very intentional about with this brand is authenticity. I’ve never wanted to show a perfectly curated version of my life simply because it looks good online. Of course, I love beautiful spaces, pretty things, travel and creating beautiful content. But real life exists alongside all of that.

There are messy houses and busy mornings. There are days when the kids don’t want to cooperate, projects that don’t get finished and plans that change. There are seasons when I feel incredibly inspired and seasons when I don’t, and I don’t want to pretend otherwise.

So rather than trying to force Styled to Sparkle to fit into what I think it should be, I think it’s time to let it become what it naturally needs to be in this season of my life.

That doesn’t mean the things you’ve always come here for are disappearing.

Interior design will always be a huge part of Styled to Sparkle. So will family, travel, entrepreneurship, creativity and all of the things that have made this space feel like home to me. But I also want to make room for the things that are happening in my life right now – even if they don’t fit neatly into a trend, a content category or an Instagram strategy.

I want to share the things I’m genuinely excited about. I want to talk about building a business and everything that comes with it. I want to share our home, our travels, the things we’re discovering as a family and the projects I’m working on, and I want to be okay with not always having something to share; I think that’s probably the biggest shift for me.

I’ve spent a lot of time feeling like I need to keep up, when really, I just want to keep showing up as myself.

Styled to Sparkle has grown and changed alongside me for years. When I look back at some of the earliest posts, it’s almost funny to see how different life looked then. But I also love that I can see the different seasons of my life reflected here – this next chapter will be no different.

It may look a little different from what you’ve seen before. It may be a little less focused on keeping up and a little more focused on slowing down and sharing what actually feels meaningful.

But at its heart, it will still be Styled to Sparkle, and it will still be me.

So, if you’ve been here since the beginning, thank you. If you’ve joined somewhere along the way, thank you. And if you’ve quietly followed along without ever saying a word, thank you too. This little space has been part of so many chapters of my life, and I’m excited to let it grow into the next one.

Not perfectly, not according to a trend.

Just authentically.

And I think that’s exactly how it should be.
