If you haven’t heard of Calgary custom home builder Trickle Creek Homes, then you’re in luck with this post! Their designs, construction and finishing quality are really second to none.

I was fortunate enough to do a photoshoot in their now for sale Show Home in Watermark. Want all the details and specifics on the home? Check them out here. This prairie-modern style home is full of inspo for your next renovation or new home build. In this post I’ll take you through some of my favorite elements of the home with shopable links to all of my featured outfits.

Entrance

A little close-up of these stunning beams…

The entrance of this home is grand both inside and out! The front foyer features a barrel arched ceiling detail (shown below) with gorgeous Douglas fir beams that match the front pergola (shown above)Natural light floods the space through the floor to ceiling windows and sidelights. This spacious foyer allows for guests to enter comfortably.

Upon entering the home you’ll see the floating staircase and custom screen feature to separate the space (shown below). This custom feature is something that really sets the home apart.

Open Concept Kitchen, Dining & Living

I love an open concept home with high ceilings and plenty of natural light. This home has all of that and so much more.

Open-concept kitchen, dining and living areas are ideal for entertaining and for family time. This one balances grandeur with a comfortable “at home” feeling.I love when a space allows for curling up with a good book and a cup of tea or heels and a glass of champagne!

The All-White Chef’s Kitchen

Shop This Photo: Shirtdress | Magnolia Table Cookbook

The spacious all-white kitchen is so gorgeous you’d never want to cook and get it dirty, but the chef’s appliances will make you feel otherwise! (plus, I find that all white is easier to keep clean!)The spacious island with slightly raised eating bar is a great spot for helping the kiddos with their homework while you prepare dinner. This kitchen has so much counter space but with plenty of cabinetry (that goes right to the ceiling!) there’s no need to clutter it!

This appliance garage makes me think of my Grandma’s farmhouse. The spot next to it on the counter is where I’ve always sat (just like this!) while she was preparing meals or hustling around the kitchen!

The kitchen is open to the dining and great rooms, making it ideal for entertaining! I still can’t get enough of how much natural light floods the space and the design feature of the partition wall.

Mudroom + Butler’s Pantry

Because this home has two garages, it features two separate mudrooms. My favorite is this one that is part of the hidden Butler’s pantry!

The rear side of the door features a blackboard perfect for grocery lists or sweet messages.

This space is what dreams are made of…or at least my dreams. A place for everything and everything in its place!

It’s always patio season…

The home does boast a large deck for entertaining, but my favorite part of this is the covered outdoor living space with a fireplace! It’s sure to keep you warm all year round. I honestly could see myself sitting out here watching hockey playoffs in the spring and football in the summer and fall!

These covered outdoor spaces are becoming more and more popular as they give you additional entertaining and relaxing space without being exposed to the elements. It’s accessible from doors on either side of the great room fireplace.

Let’s head upstairs…

The upstairs has a spacious bonus room and 3 bedrooms, each with an ensuite and walk-in closet! (see listing for photos of additional bedrooms + bonus room) This is also where you’ll find the laundry room (more on that later!).

Master Bedroom

Enter the master bedroom through a set of double doors. You’ll see, again, a space flooded with natural light that’s quiet, peaceful and a true retreat. I’m obsessing over the ambiance that the slatted wood ceiling provides!

Airy Ensuite

This spacious and airy ensuite features an incredible amount of counter space. I swear it was designed by a cosmetics and glam maven who needed space to store all of her items out of site but with plenty of space and perfect lighting to use them!

The master retreat features a private balcony with entrance from the bedroom proper. Floor to ceiling windows run along the ensuite-side of the balcony (behind the large, free-standing tub), providing the perfect lighting for doing your makeup!

Custom Dream Closet

For me, a closet should have ample space to store your entire wardrobe, including seasonal items, without feeling like items are getting squished or piled on top of one another. It should also have enough space for the wardrobes of two people…

This closet not only features tons of hanging space, it also features custom drawers and an island for dressing, accessorizing or folding with a built-in bench for either putting on shoes or just admiring the space!

Laundry Room of Dreams

The laundry room of this home is also upstairs and it is gorgeous! For someone who loves to do laundry like I do (I’m a weirdo, I know), this is a dream space!

Downstairs we go…

The finished basement features a gym, theatre room, custom bar with backsplash and of course, wine!

Wine Cellar

The floor to ceiling wine wall is temperature controlled and will keep your friends coming back for more. The first thing Van and I ask when we see wine cellars in show homes is “is it temperature controlled?” because when you collect wine like we do, it matters!
