Mid-Century Modern is still one of my absolute favorite decor styles and it is prevalent throughout my home. When my new modern front door was installed, adding touches of Mid-Century Modern decor to my foyer felt like the perfect fit. It also ties in other parts of my home, such as my powder room and living room.
A Modern Glass-Panelled Front Door
I know that it seems like I’m obsessed with my front door but it’s for good reason. I knew that a modern front door like this would elevate my home both inside and out, but I didn’t realize how versatile it would be. It can go from modern Scandi to West Coast modern to Mid-Century modern depending on how I choose to style to space!

A Round Mirror In a Warm Wood Tone
I am obsessed with this walnut-framed round mirror (I have it in at least one other space in my home). I love the dimension it adds and how it breaks up all of the linear features in the space. The walnut frame also adds some extra warmth to this space.

A Geometric Print Rug in Vintage Colours
Geometric prints are some of my favorite things about Mid-Century Modern design, and this rug features grey, blush pink and ochre yellow – all great mixes of modern and vintage. The soft hex pattern and low-pile add just enough pattern and dimension to the room.

A Sputnik Light Fixture With Edison Bulbs
I can’t get enough of Sputnik light fixtures! Because of the height of the door, I was limited in the light fixture that I could have coming down from the ceiling, but this one fits perfectly. I love the matte black and brass accents topped with round Edison bulbs (in LED of course).

Exotic Artwork in Muted Tones
Exotic artwork gives me all of the Mid-Centiry vibes. This artwork is particularly special to me as it features two different scenes from Kyoto, Japan during their Spring cherry blossom (sakura) season, an absolute favorite destination of mine.

Velvet + Textured Textiles
The frame and pale pink velvet top of this bench fit the space immediately but they needed something else to round out the decor. I topped it with this large velvet pillow, smaller textured and embroidered pillow and textured throw. The mixed materials, mix of muted tones and textures finish this space perfectly.
