Redness: this can be in the form of acne marks, spots, rosacea or just general redness in skin tone.  Green and yellow will neutralize these tones in your skin (Note: Yellow can also help to correct any light purple tones in skin as well!).  These color correctors are all best underneath foundation to ensure you don’t look like Shrek or Sponge Bob!

These products are great for both targeted and overall color correction for redness!

ColorCorrectionGreen

  1. Urban Decay NAKED Skin Color Correcting Fluid – ‘Mint – Reduces Redness’ ($35, Sephora Exclusive).  This corrector is in liquid, rather than cream form and is also formulated with vitamins C and E to nourish your skin.  It blends differently because it is a liquid, but can also provide more sheer coverage.

  2. Smashbox Color Correcting Stick – ‘Get less Red – green’ ($27, Sephora Exclusive).  This is my favorite for targeting redness!  It goes on really smooth and blends easily.  Its narrower point is great for targeting red spots.  For targeting red areas, draw lines across the area you want to neutralize and blend with a foundation brush for even coverage.

  3. CoverFX Correct Click – ‘Green’ ($24, Sephora).  This stick is really creamy and helps to correct intense redness in your skin.

  4. Marc Jacobs Beauty Cover(t) Stick Color Corrector – ‘Color 300: Co(vert) Affairs’ ($52, Sephora Exclusive). This citron and lime stick is really smooth and easy to apply.  It really helps to neutralize skin tone and fight hyper-pigmentation of skin.

  5. Smashbox Photo Finish ‘Adjust’ Color Correcting Foundation Primer ($39, Nordstrom).  This is my favorite line of foundation primers!  This one helps to control significant overall redness under your foundation.

ColorCorrectionYellow

  2. NARS Immaculate Complexion Concealer – ‘Pear’ ($25, Nordstrom).  This concealer is great for mild red areas but also for correcting dullness under your eyes.  Its texture is really creamy for maximum blendability.

  3. CoverFX Correct Click – ‘Yellow’ ($24, Sephora).  This stick is really creamy and helps to correct mild redness in your skin.  It’s large format is great for targeting large areas.

  4. Benefit Cosmetics ‘Lemon Aid’ ($20, Benefit Cosmetics).  This was created as an eyelid primer to reduce redness and discoloration and help to brighten up eyes.  It can also be used on other parts of the face to combat mild redness.
