"The wine begins with a medley of tropical fruit aromas including lychee, mango and peach. The palate is juicy, with a touch of residual sweetness to lift all the tropical fruit flavours" - John Schreiner, May 2016.
"Consistently one of Canada's best gews, and one of the best values in the province. This year the heated 2015 vintage has upped the weightiness of this heady grape, further expanding its waistline. Fortunately, twenty-one year old vines know how to handle Mother Nature, and this, though bigger than 2014, holds a fine line of limey acidity well. Ample gingersnap spicing brings some heat to the concentrated gooseberry, lychee, freesia and peach on the round, silken palate. Perfumed rosewater lingers on the lengthy finish" - Treve Ring, June 2016.

"The balance between fruit and oak is close to perfect: the fruit is flattered by the oak, not covered by it" - John Schreiner, May 2016.
"...a beautifully constructed Chardonnay...well proportioned creating a balanced and memorable, stand-alone sipper..." 91 points Liam Carrier, Icon Scores, May 2016.
"A seductive nose of caramel, canned corn and baked apple that continues with a creamy luscious palate. Definitely a bold and more New World style Chardonnay that is broad but with crisp acidity and good balance. A long and pleasing finish of yellow apples. Tasted blind at NWAC 2016" - 91 points Janet Dorozynski Dip WSET, Ph.D.

"The wine begins with a fresh, floral aroma mingled with hints of citrus and peach. Flavours of pear, honeydew melon and pink grapefruit around a spine of good minerality coat the palate. The finish is crisp and dry" - John Schreiner, May 2016.
"Founder Sandra Oldfield has been high-need achieving here for many vintages, and seems to going from strength to strength. A great example is the new vintage of pinot gris. This wine has plenty of structure, and will not be confused with the wines coming out of Italy. It has some lovely viscosity, hints of ripe pineapple, and subtle rosemary. A fantastic food wine, and since it is British Columbia spot prawn season, why not grill some of those, add some grilled bread, and there you have it, a rabbit out of a hat" - Jim Tobler, Montecristo Magazine, May 2016.

95/100 "Very well made and Chablis-esque with a crisp green-apple nose augmented by nutty, mineral, light oak notes. To taste, it's dry, crisp yet fruit-driven with nectarine and lemon-infused fruit framed by a soupçon of toasty oak, finishing with a graceful smidgen of minerality" - Decanter World Wine Awards 2016.

With the elevated levels of Viognier in this wine the apricot and stone fruit nose is prominent much earlier than in the 2014. It shows the heat of the vintage by being more opulent than the 2014 this early on, but it delivers on power and poise very nicely. The weight and texture are the hallmark of this wine, with a viscosity and mouthfeel that is only found in some of the world’s most interesting wines.
