Men’s Grooming: Concern: Dry/Chapped Lips

Cold weather and dehydration make everyone’s lips dry.  It’s uncomfortable and doesn’t look the best.  Here are my picks for getting soft, kissable lips! None are waxy like drugstore balms, and all are tried and field tested.

Kiehl’s Facial Fuel No-Shine Moisturizing Lip Balm ($9, Nordstrom)
This is a great every day lip balm.  I like this one because it has no shine and comes in a standard chapstick tube.  It looks like regular drugstore chapstick, but works way more effectively.
Kiehl's Mens Lip Balm
Jack Black Intense Therapy Lip Balms ($7.50 each, Nordstrom)
This brand offers more of a variety of lip balms and targeted treatments.  They’re all in squeeze-tubes and come in different flavors/scents.  These balms are really long lasting (unlike most formulated for women), so you don’t have to re-apply very often.

Jack Black – Intense Therapy Lip Balm (Shea Butter & Vitamin E): If your lips are really dry and cracked, using something like this before bed can make a huge difference as it features more intense moisturizing ingredients than other balms (so your lips will heal faster!).
Jack Black Shea Butter Lip Balm
Jack Black – Intense Therapy Lip Balm (various): Flavors include: Natural Mint, Lemon & Chamomile, Grapefruit Ginger and Black Tea Blackberry.  Don’t be alarmed by ‘flavored lip balm’ because these aren’t your sister’s Lip Smackers!  Each flavor features unique ingredients that are refreshing, full of anti-oxidants and contain SPF25 (which is important).
Jack Black Mint Lip Balm
Jack Black – ‘The Balm Squad’ Collection ($25, Nordstrom): This is a great set of limited edition flavors, featuring: Natural Mint & Shea Butter, Mango & Mandarin, Vanilla & Natural Mint, Asian Pear & White Tea.  Each has their own healing properties.
