There’s something about curling up in a blanket with a nice cup of tea and a good book! I find the holidays give me a bit of time to myself to indulge in this pleasure. I love getting books in my stocking and they always make great gifts.
I Am Malala by: Malala Yousafzai – This remarkable young woman has had quite a journey and this book is only the beginning.
Lights Out by: Ted Koppel – This is a great choice for the poli-sci lover on your list! Its subtitle is “A Cyberattack, A Nation Unprepared, Surviving the Aftermath”.
Lean In: Women, Work and The Will To Lead by: Sheryl Sandberg – This is a great book for men and women alike and also a great one for parents raising daughters.
In The Unlikely Event by: Judy Blume – A fictional book for the adults who grew up reading her novels!
Year of Yes: How to Dance it Out, Stand in the Sun and Be Your Own Person by: Shonda Rhimes – She has a big fan following for her television writing and this book seems to be even more inspiration from Shonda herself!
